CamperHoliday, based in Cheshire, aims to give customers the Campervan adventure of their dreams. The business provides fun, freedom, and adventure for Jo and Ian which also reflects right back at their customers.
Helping you to plan and book your Campervan holiday, Jo and Ian also provide you with suggested routes and tips to get the best out of your trip.
We initially spoke to Jo from CamperHoliday back in March 2020 where she explained she had previously had her fingers hugely burnt using SEO and web design companies in the past. She had spent a lot of money, and more importantly time, on loads of copy with absolutely zero results.
Jo and Ian were very specific about the fact that they wanted to be upskilled in the journey of building their new website so they could self-serve going forwards in terms of updates, marketing, and SEO. They wanted a web design company in Cheshire that would demystify it all, with ongoing direction and analytics to make sure they get results – they wanted to be involved and have control instead of frustration.

The Brief
CamperHoliday wanted to aim their website at three key audiences; people that are outdoorsy, event/festival goers, and retired travellers. As well as the campervans being the perfect outdoor adventure for the summer, the site also needed to appeal to skiers or those chasing the winter sun.
It was important for Jo and Ian to have a website with a certain amount of personality. Wilma and Fred (the campervans!) are both characters in themselves, therefore, it needed to be fun, contemporary, customer-focused, and slightly quirky. We also wanted to make sure that the booking process was as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.
CamperHoliday chose our Max package, which is perfect for a fully expandable and editable custom-designed website. Giving Jo and Ian access to adding unlimited pages was important as they grow their business. They were also keen to make use of the blog function - not only are blogs great for search engine optimisation, they are a brilliant way to share interesting news and their knowledge of how to get the best out of your Campervan Holiday.
The Design
The Camperholiday site was designed to feel professional but also have a fun and quirky feel to it. Taking into account what Jo and Ian were after, our web design team created a custom designed, highly engaging site.
We added some fun additions to the site including large bordered images with a rotation element to them making the site feel interesting. Our web designers also added some torn edges and colourful rollovers at the bottom of the page which overlap one another. These have a postcard/travelling appearance and help to add to the quirky and adventurous feel of the site.
The site really showcases each of the campervans, Wilma and Fred, as they are of course the stars of the site! The route planner pages were designed to make it easy for customers to follow and navigate as well as making it easy for Jo and Ian to add extra routes along the way.
The Feedback
Jo and Ian were delighted with the final site as well as the response they received from their customers and network. They started getting bookings fairly quickly once the new site went live.

We were lucky enough to have a day out with CamperHoliday in sunny Snowdonia when they helped us to film a testimonial video for it'seeze Web Design Knutsford. Editing Their New Site
It was important to Jo and Ian to have a site that they could edit and add to themselves on an ongoing basis. At it'seeze we have our own unique website editor, which means you can keep control of your website and watch it grow. It is designed to be easy and enjoyable to use and you don't need any technical skills to be able to use it!
CamperHoliday used the editing function for lots of different things all of which drove more and more value from the website.
They’ve used it to:
add new pages when they’ve onboarded new vans
add a ‘Subscribe here’ button with an automated lead magnet that gets emailed out to subscribers
create new blog formats so that they can vary the format more
create landing pages specific to their marketing campaigns
Most recently, they’ve used the website editor to add an online booking platform to their website, so that visitors can see pricing and availability 24/7 and easily reserve the van of their choice.
Since adding the ‘Subscribe here’ button, they’ve built up an email list of over 200 in the first few months of the website being live. They can track which campaign people have engaged with so that they can target the right products to them based on their previous interest.
